Rakalj is a small town on the west bank of the Rasa bay on the southeast coast of Istria, 12 km northeast of Marcane and 30 km from Pula. First mentioned in 1190th, and was once known for traditional Istrian pottery, whose tradition wants to revive for tourism purposes, and the sailors and fishermen.
