City Cabar area occupies almost a quarter of the space of Gorski Kotar, and the third largest town in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar county. Its area is peripheral, marginal and less available to the main traffic routes Croatian and Slovenia. Extends the geographical altitudes between 650 and 1200 m above sea level, and therefore has the difficult winter conditions and an unfavorable geographical and traffic location.
City Cabar rich in natural beauty (National Park Paklenica, Snježnik, unpolluted rivers and beautiful river Kupa and Cabranke), has a relatively good climate, numerous cultural and historical content, and no large industrial facilities that were potential polluters of nature.
The most important resorts are Cabar, Gerovo, Prezid, Plešce and Tršce. Larger settlements are located along two main roads: Delnica of the Republic of Slovenia (Gerovo, Tršce, Prezid), and along rivers and Cabranka Cup to Brod na Kupi (Cabar, Plešce).
